Problem
Residents rarely know when a waste collection vehicle is nearby, and civic complaints about missed pickups pile up with no clear prioritisation — so collection is missed and issues are handled manually.
Approach
- Dynamic geofencing around collectors' live locations, so residents are alerted only when collection is actually close
- Two roles, one platform: separate resident and collector modules sharing real-time data
- AI-powered complaint classification to prioritise issues and cut manual triage

- A smart waste management platform in Kotlin with Firebase for real-time tracking and monitoring
- Location-based alerts and dynamic geofences using the Google Maps API
